After a nerve-wracking swim through a submerged cavern, Lejonet, Kodak, and Gordi make it through and emerge on the other side. Upon resurfacing, however, they are immediately set upon by a swarm of the undead without any time to compose themselves. After a rough and very difficult battle, Lejonet is finally and barely able to repel the decomposed masses before succumbing to Death's embrace and they escape through the tunnels. Finally, they emerge back out into the light; relieved to finally be back out above ground after a harrowing journey through the hidden horrors of what lies below. They hastily continue on their journey to answer Esharl's call and arrive at Halfway... only to find a smouldering ruin where the town once lay.
